Braid to Ponytail

We started with a square part on the top of her head. Pull the hair towards her ear and make a simple braid.

The picture below is the simple braid.

Before you pull the hair into a ponytail back comb a small amount of hair behind the braid. Then pull all the hair into a lower ponytail.

We added a black ribbon for fun. The hairstyle is as simple as that and you have a really cute style.

Toddler Hair

As most of you know who have toddlers know it is very difficult to come up with new ideas especially when they have thin straight hair. So here we go with another idea.
Since she is only 2 it is sometimes hard to get pictures so these are all taken after the hair has been done so I will do my best to describe what was done.
Around the front of her face I made 3 ponytails.

Once the ponytails are in place I took the middle ponytail and separated into 3 pieces. Take one piece and pull it towards the far side ponytail and take half of that ponytail and secure with an elastic.

Do the same thing on the other side. This gives you a total of five elastics.

If this doesn't make sense please ask questions and I will explain further.

Short Bob with Bangs

Sophistication is the name of the game when you wear this ultra-chic short bob. We think it would look great as a bridal hairstyle with hair jewelry, a tiara, or flowers.

2 Messy Buns

Sorry it has been awhile since my last post I have been out of town on a business trip but I am back and here is another hair style.
Make a part in the center of her head. Then take a small section and pull the hair through to make a twist.

Take another small section of hair and pull it through to make another twist.
Do this to both sides of her head.

The picture below is a picture of the top of her head.

Make 2 ponytails and on the final flip of the elastic don't pull all the way through.

We then made messy buns with elastics and bobby pins

The picture below is a picture of the side of her head.
Kayte Bug Boutique is doing 15% off entire order now through November 25th. Now is the perfect time to buy gifts or stocking stuffers for your little girlie - so take advantage of this deal!! Click HERE to go to Kayte Bug Boutique

Also - I've had lots of people ask what I use now that Garnier Fructis is no longer selling their sculpting pomade that I was using. I'm looking!! I promise!! I've been experimenting & haven't found something that I love yet. If you don't mind the cost - Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum is awesome. LOVE it!! Hate the price - about $26 for an 8.5 oz. You can buy it at most salons - I have seen it online for cheaper prices. You really don't go through it that fast since you just need one squeeze of it.

I've recently tried Pantene Pro-V Texture pomade that you can buy just at Wal-Mart. It comes in a 1.7 oz. for under $5. Not the same size or prices still as Garnier Fructis. It works all right. It's not my favorite - I feel like it kind of makes my hair greasy but on my girlie it works fine. But in the mean time - I will continue to find the perfect pomade once again. Garnier Fructis - why did you take my favorite product away? So sad:( The search is still on!! If any of you have suggestions on what you use & your favorite is - please share!

UpsideDown FrenchBraid

I totally remember going to my sister & asking her to do an upside down french braid on my hair for school & I would flip my hair over the bed & she would frenchbraid away. Then with the end of the tail - she would tuck it back into the braid. Well - I decided to do something pretty close to it. Don't mind the unmade bed (sheets are being washed:) This would be really cute for church...umm might have to do it again for tomorrow!
I had her flip her head over my awesome unmade bed.
French braid away - going as far as you want. I went a little more than half way on her head.
Flip her head over & pull all of the hair into a ponytail. My girlie's is a high pony tail because I wanted to make sure her curls were on top of her head.
Curl the pony & pin it so the curls are on the top of the head. By doing this - the french braid is much more visible - which is what we want to see, right?

Toddler Ribbon Headband

Since my daughters hair is so thin we did a simple version of the ponytails.
I started and made 3 very small ponytails across the front of her head.
Then I placed the ribbon behind the elastics.

On the 2nd row of elastics I separated only the middle front elastic and pulled it across the ribbon and secured with 2 different ponytails (as shown above). For the remaining 2 other ponytails I pulled them straight across the ribbon and secured with only 1 ponytail (as shown below)

Plain Hair Headband

There are some days when I get the statement. "I just want plain hair today" Today was one of those days. She wanted a pink ribbon and since these never stay in the hair we took a small amount of hair around the face and pulled it down.

Then put the ribbon behind the small part of hair.
We secured the ribbon at the base of her head in a double knot.

Then take the small amount of hair and twist it as shown below. Do this to both sides.

Secure the 2 twists with an elastic under about half of her hair. The twist keep the ribbon in place all day.

Then we straightened the rest of her hair.
